Valentine Medva

Medva, Valentine, 90, Cairnbrook, died October 31, 2023. Born July 22, 1933 the son of Frank and Rose Medva. Preceded in death by parents; son Andrew; sister Elizabeth. Survived by wife Helen; son John (Shari); grandchildren Ryan, Brock, Alexis, Drew, Kyle, Jamie; Three grandchildren; sister Ruby and a number of nieces and nephews. Val served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a Pitt graduate, former school teacher and a retiree from Bestform Foundations. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Queen Angels Chapel (St. John’s), Father Aron Maghsoudi Celebrant. Committal St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Graveside Military Rites by Central City VFW Post 7457.
