Thomas E. Jerz

Jerz, Thomas E. "T.J.", 70, Central City, died August 11, 2018, after a five-year battle with cancer. Born July 3, 1948, son of the late John W. and Helen (Glowiak) Jerz. Survived by wife, the former Beverly Hartline; son, Troy; daughter, Tara; and sister, Judy (Gerald) Yock. Tom was a devoted husband and loving father. He was a retired educator in drafting and design from Somerset County Technology Center. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. T.J. earned his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying and sailing. Friends will be received Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at The Berkey Church of the Brethren, Rev. Earl Crissman officiating. www.mulcahyfuneralhome.com
