Shawn Edward Cook

Cook, Shawn Edward, 47, formerly of Central City, went to be with the Lord April 27, 2021.  Born May 24, 1973.  Preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Erma Cook.  Survived by brother, Jesse (Sandy) Cook; sisters, Irene (Herman) Swope, Karen (Harry) Harbaugh, Sue (Mike) Lockett, Tina (Delbert) Yoder, and Patsy Phipps; and dearest friend, C.J. Meck.  Shawn was adopted by Jesse and Erma when he was a baby.  He was born with spina bifida but loved life.  He collected model cars and eagles.  Enjoyed going to the races and car shows.  Never missed a Steelers’ game.  Shawn loved doing woodwork and painting.  He could always be found in his wheelchair sitting outside his apartment in Central City waving at and visiting with friends.  He is now able to walk with Jesus.  No more wheelchairs and he can run into mom and dad’s arms.  “A private family ceremony will be held by the water in Florida, one of his loves.” Arrangements by the Mulcahy Funeral Home.  www.mulcahyfuneralhome.com.
