Rosalie M. Keiper

Keiper, Rosalie M., 80, of Windber, Pennsylvania passed away, August 1st, 2023, with her youngest son by her side. She was born to parents Emma Lasta and William M. Adams, May 13th, 1943 in Tanneryville, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Johnstown High School as valedictorian and attended Cambria Rowe Business College. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edna Mae Jones, Kisa Colbet; stepmother, Adele (Moody) Adams and her infant son, Jimmy. She is survived by sons Albert (Michelle) Schmalz and William Schmalz and daughter Jamie (Roger) Billman. Grandchildren Shannon (John) Buyalos, Rosalie Carel, William Schmalz Jr., Dustin Poole, Kayla & Lloyd Collier and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Lillian Adams, brother William Adams Jr., and several nieces and nephews. Rosalie (Rocky) was employed by Sheetz as Department Manager, Bon Worth as Assistant Manager, and a Store Manager for Dollar General in Central City, Pennsylvania. Rosalie was a strong independent woman who loved her children deeply. She was a constant in their life’s, always providing sound advice, guidance, and friendship. Rosalie was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. For the past 18 years, her “fur baby” Andy, was a constant companion and best friend. Rocky was also a trusted friend to many, especially Dee Kish, Bonnie & Larry Deneen, and Tammy Smith. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
