Lasut, Paul James, 73, Central City, passed on May 18, 2022, surrounded by loving family at Good Samaritan Palliative Care in Johnstown. Born on October 15, 1948 in Windber, PA, the son of the late Paul Leo and Anna (Russell) Lasut. Preceded in death by beloved aunt, “Betty” Russell. Survived by wife of 46 years, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Yaskola); sons, Nathan and Justin; daughter, Megan; sister, Diana (Ron) Halkovich; and sister-in-law, Carol (Gary) Manges. Also survived by cherished nieces and nephews, close family and friends. Paul was an avid outdoorsman, and was a member of numerous local sportsmen’s clubs. Paul was well known for his fly tyer expertise, as well as his handmade fishing rods. In addition to his hobbies, he was a long time fan of all Pittsburgh sports. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church (Sacred Heart), Father Aron Maghsoudi, Celebrant. Committal, Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
