Mike Sandusky Jr, Central City was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He left this world peacefully to be with our Lord on July 19, 2024 at the age of 85.
Mike was survived by his beautiful wife, Barbara (Barnes), sons: Michael and Mark (Debra Maksimik), granddaughters: Merissa (Allen Berkey), Tiffany (George Paul), Jennifer, Stephanie (Chris Fasulo), Kimberly (Nathan Simunds), and Nicole, grandson: Scott, great grandchildren: Jaidyn, Sophia, Harper, Tate, and Aria. Siblings Dolores (late Gary Robertson), Nancy (Dave Ferko), Beverly (Robert Opett) and Ron (Eleanor Hird), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents Betty (Yuhas) and Mike Sandusky Sr.
Mike served our country in the United States Marine Corp 1956-1958. He was a hardworking business owner of Mike’s Market for 32 years where he loved serving the community and supporting his employees. He was active in his home church, Windber Covenant Brethren Church and was a licensed minister. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.

Friends will be received on Friday, July 26 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Mulcahy Funeral Home and Saturday, July 27 at Windber Covenant Brethren Church (500 19th Street, Windber, PA 15963) one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service. A Military Graveside service will take place at Berkey Cemetery (1038 Church Dr, Windber, PA 15963), Honors provided by Central City VFW Post. A reception to follow at Windber Covenant Brethren Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks to please make a donation to either St. Jude’s Haven, personal care home where Mike spent the last months of his life or the National Veterans Foundation-Stop Veteran Suicide “Stop 22” where your donation will help save Veterans on the brink.
