Kaminsky, Maryann (McGowan), 90, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2019. She was born March 18, 1929 in Johnstown.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna Dorney McGowan of Hooversville.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank G Sr.; sister Elizabeth Lantzy; brothers, Jack, Bill, Vince, Jim, Danny; and infant sister Rosemary.
Survived by loving children Frank Jr. (Mary K); Thomas (Debbie); Eileen Zankey (Joe); James (Deanne); sister Patricia Bartek; and brother Joseph.
Also survived by grandchildren Jason (Alyson); Mark (Megan); LeeAnn; Shannan Presto (Bo); Joel (Tabitha); Maria Gardner (Daniel); Angela Zankey; Regina Subich (Nick); Andrea Yock; numerous nieces and nephews; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Maryann was formerly employed by Oaks Poultry, Stoystown and Food Rite/Riverside Market of Hooversville. She was a long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
An avid reader and day shopper, Maryann enjoyed being an untiring bargain hunter. She loved listening to Neil Diamond, and loved watching television and catching up on celebrity news. Short in stature but big in personality, she was very proud of her Irish heritage.
She loved her family, and her children were her world. She spent her life as a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and will be missed by all who loved her. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, the Rev. Karl Kolodziejski. Committal Parish Cemetery
