Mary Katherine (Palanes) Spaid

Spaid (Palanes), Mary Katherine, 60, Ocala, FL, formerly of Central City, passed away November 4, 2016.  Born May 7, 1956, the daughter of Vincent and Eva (Kovach) Palanes. Preceded in death by father, and husband David. Survived by son, Vincent Robert (Moira Elizabeth); mother, Eva Rita Palanes; sister, Rita Marie Bostwick; brother, Alan Paul Palanes, all of FL.; brother Brian Charles Palanes (Terri L.) Somerset; sister-in-law, Kimberly Sue Palanes, Central City; nephew, Christopher James Palanes, and niece, Amy Lynn Palanes, both of Somerset.  Mary came to the Ocala area in 1987, was a retired social worker and an active member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church both in attendance and volunteer work.  She was a member of the Zonta Organization, supported Girl Scouts, enjoyed helping others, and had a special love for dogs.  Visitation and funeral mass were held Tuesday November 8, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Ocala. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 20, at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Queen of Angels (Sacred Heart), Father Aron Maghsoudi. Committal Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
