Burkholder, Mary Joan (Pruss), 74, Central City, died July 14, 2024, at Windber Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Born June 11, 1950, the daughter of Fred and Beatrice (Custer) Pruss. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Gene, Jim, Steve (Jack), and John. Survived by husband Allen “Carly”; sons Jamie, Allen Jr. “Bud” (Fay Kline) and Douglas (Natasha Will); brother, Gary; sister, Pat (Suffecool); granddaughters, Holly, Madison (Keeton Sarver), Faith, Lauren, and Kenadie. Mary loved the beach, flowers and shopping. She worked as an LPN for 28 years at Meadow View Nursing home. She enjoyed taking care of people and helping any way she could. There will be a private celebration of life held with family.
