Mauger, Madelain Annette, 91, of Cairnbrook, went to be the Lord on January 31, 2023. Born February 23, 1931, daughter of Catherine and John Lasut. Preceded in death by her one true love, husband, Andrew “Andy” Mauger; brothers, Paul, John, Rudy, Stanley, Frank and Tom Lasut and John Suchian; sisters, Marie Thomas, Agnes Russell and Julie Shelko. Survived by her son Gary Mauger; daughter-in-law, Linda Mauger; daughter, Linda Griffiths and son-in-law Rodney Griffiths; grandchildren, Andrew Mauger, Lindsey (Griffiths) Marthy, husband Andrew Marthy and Meredith Mauger Lang, husband Ryan Lang, as well as great granddaughters Lily Grace, Evelyn and Cora Marthy; and many nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and elsewhere. In her earlier years, Madelain was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel (St. John’s). She belonged to the ladies’ choir, Lady’s Guild, and the Rosary Society. She could also be found assisting with special events by preparing food, as she loved to cook and bake. Madelain spent her last years residing in Annapolis, MD with her son Gary, who retired in 2022 to provide her with full-time care. They were both thankful for the quality time spent together sharing meals, laughing and reminiscing. She enjoyed completing her daily crossword puzzles, the occasional strawberry milkshake, and was always ready for her next trip to the casino. She was strong, loving, dedicated and hardworking every day of her life. Her family was her everything and she always put them first. She will be missed dearly by many. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Queen of Angels (Sacred Heart), Father Aron Magasoudi. Committal St. John The Baptist Cemetery. www.mulcahyfuneralhome.com
