Pongrac, John P. 88, Central City, died May 16, 2021. Born August 21, 1932, the son of Felix and Pauline (Fajs) Pongrac. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Patty; son, Gary; brothers, Felix and Joseph and sister, Pauline. Survived by children, John (Mary Lou), Gregory (Mary Ann), Judy (Matt) Hudak; and Chris (Angel); daughter-in law, Susan; grandchildren, Vicki (Kelly), Johna (Alex), Kayla (Eric), Chelsey (Ben), Patty (Chris), Krysta (Nate), Louie, Trish (Marcus), Cassie, Courtney (Matt), Rylee and Carly; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Palumbo; and good friend, John Ketchock. John served as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was the founder and owner of Pongrac Plastering for 50 years where he continued to do the bookwork until the time of his passing. John enjoyed time spent on the family farm, where he was an avid gardener and beekeeper. He loved cooking meals, bringing his family together every Sunday. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church (Sacred Heart), Fr.
