Jacqueline E. Nieves

Jacqueline E. Nieves, beloved mother, passed away on May 4, 2026. Born on May 14, 1948, she was the eldest daughter of the late Jackson and Mona (Roberts) Leighty. Her memory will be cherished by her girls, Joanna and her daughters Jayna and Jadyn, and Jolene (Michael) Byzon and her children Jackson and Juliette.

Jackie joins her husband, Juan, and first husband John Deneen, parents, and siblings; Vaughn, Lisa and Keith, and sister-in-law Lucy Nieves, in rest. “Aunt Jackie” is survived by her brother, Versal, and her many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. 

Jackie was warm and generous, with a quiet strength and mischievous streak. She was most proud of raising her children. Those wishing to pay their respects will be received by the family on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11a.m. to 12:30 at Robert F. Mulcahy Funeral Home in Central City.
