Barnes, Glen L. Jr., 81, Central City, died July 4, 2021, at home. Born May 1, 1940, the son of Glen L. and Irene (Berkey) Barnes. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Patricia; one brother and two sisters. Survived by children, Linda Barnes; Glen (Sallie); Andrew (Kim); David; Vicki (David) Berloffe; Grandchildren, Luke (Lauren), Shane, Joshua, Stephanie, Tyler, Brett, Jeni, Tori (Matt), Dylan (Emily), David, Jenna, Gillian, and Cameron; Great-grandchildren, Blaane, Landon, Shylynn, and K.J. Brother of, Barb Sandusky, Sandy Kalanish, Ed, Tom, Joanne Bohach, and Larry. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Typical of his determined and strong-willed personality, Glen enlisted in the Marine Corps immediately after high school; not long after he found the love of his life, Patty. Glen worked many years as a sprinkler fitter with Local Union 669 and was the proud owner of American Fire Protection Company. He enjoyed woodworking and outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, and golf. However, his true passion was his family. He shared his knowledge with his grandchildren and found happiness in attending as many of their events as possible. In the final year of his life, he enjoyed spending time with special friend, Alice Haydu. Friends will be received on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at the former Life Church, 2400 Jackson Avenue, Windber.
