George Edward Swartzwelder

Swartzwelder, George Edward, 92, Central City, died May 7, 2017, at home.  Born July 10, 1924, the son of John and Belle Swartzwelder.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, Anita; and ten brothers and sisters.  Survived by sons, Richard (Teri Taylor), Cairnbrook; and Dennis (Terry Figmick), NC; grandchildren, Lisa; Lynn (Toby); Todd (Amy); and Katie; also survived by four great-grandchildren. U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran, serving with the engineers in WWII.  Member of UMWA Local 6410, retiring from Reitz Coal Co.  Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City.  Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Graef Lutheran Church, Cairnbrook, Rev.
