Romus, Frank D., “FDR”, 91, Cairnbrook, died December 19, 2021. Born January 3, 1930, the son of Joseph and Mary Romus. Preceded in death by parents; six sisters; two brothers; son-in-law, Wayne Burkett; an infant grandson; mother and father-in-law, Butch and Florence Borosky. Survived by loving wife, of 62 years, former Louise Borosky; children, Kathy; Frank Jr. (Amy); Pam; and Trish; grandchildren, Kayla; Sarah (Brian); Wayne and fiancé, Niki; Morgan; Casey; and three great grandchildren. Also survived by life-long friend Jose, and caring in-laws, Bill and Diane Dodson. Frank was a Korean War Veteran, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, UMWA Local 6410, Central City VFW, American Legion Posts, PNA Lodge 1878, and St. John the Baptist Society, where he served as club steward for many years. An avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed Friday night high school football games, and watching the Steelers. Frank loved Christmas Eve Holy Supper. He was known to tell it like it was, but had a special love for his family, especially his wife, his “sunshine” who took loving care of him during his bout with dementia. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of Angels (Sacred Heart), Father Aron Maghsoudi, Celebrant.
