Fillo, Elizabeth J. 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4, 2017. She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Moving to Central City, PA in 1961 to be with her mother, Julia Haydu. Liz had many talents, her main focus was on teaching pre-school. After 38 years, she retired but never forgot her children, to them she will always be Miss Liz. Her friends and neighbors will remember her for her love and giving nature. Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; mother, Julia Haydu; and brother-in-law, Glenn Laidig. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Laidig; nieces, Julianne Laidig (Dan), Marie Metsker (Charles), Theresa Thrush (Greg); great-nieces, Katie, Brittany, Hannah, Jenna and Brittany; great-nephews Matthew, Ricky, Eric and Remy; and her great-great-nephew, Hudson. Although her friends are too numerous to mention, a special thank you is sent to Danna, Malcom, Freda, Carol, Cheryl and the most special thank you to Richard who never left her side. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City.
