Hiner, Dorothy May, 99, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Elizabethton, TN. She died peacefully with her family by her side. Preceded in death by her husband, Sharon (Abe) Hiner. Survived by daughter, Anita Hiner Sewell, Johnson City, TN; granddaughters Kelly Mozena (Keith), Woodstock, GA; Shannon Baker (Dan), Oneonta, NY; Wendie Jordan, Johnson City, TN; great-grandchildren Daniel, Kelsey, & Ally May Baker and Sydney & Ryan Jordan; brother-in-law Jack Sell (Lavonne) Bossier City, LA. Dot was a lifelong member of Central City Christian Church where she faithfully served as treasurer, Sunday school teacher, played the piano, and was active in Ladies Aid. She enjoyed traveling around the US on mystery tours, watching plays at the sight and sound auditorium, cooking, baking, and working on craft projects. She will be remembered for her unconditional love of family and friends, her wit, her strength, and her servant's heart. Funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10th at Central City Christian Church. Interment to follow at McGregor Cemetery in Cairnbrook, PA.
