Deborah J. (Williams) Miller, 65 of Indigo Lane, Somerset, PA formerly of Schellsburg, PA; entered into her eternal life on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at UPMC Shadyside surrounded by her loving family. Debbe was born on May 20, 1951 in Fort Bragg, NC the daughter of Robert (Brenda) Williams, of Yucaipa, California and the late Catherine (Burt) Dillingham, of Lancaster, PA. On November 22, 1969 in Schellsburg, PA she was united in marriage to William C. “Bill” Miller. In addition to her father, step- mother, step- father and loving husband, of 47 years, she is also survived by a daughter Kimberly wife of Stephen Knapp and granddaughter Meradi of Central City, PA and son William J.C. “Tank” Miller and Heather of Bedford, PA along with step –grandchildren Kirstin, Tylar, Darrin and Kyle. She is also survived by two sisters; Denise of Lancaster, PA and Sandy of California; brother and sister in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and her dog Painter.
She was preceded in death by her mother, mother and father in-law; John C “Pete” and Madie Miller; a sister Brenda and special dog Tucker.
Debbe was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, tending to her herb garden, cooking, reading (especially James Patterson) and shopping. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughter Meradi, whom she adored. She was a very talented painter and shared her love of art through her painting classes. She gained many lifelong friends and made memories that she cherished. She was a lifetime member of the Schellsburg VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4440.
She fought a long and courageous battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for 17 years; throughout her illness she was always positive and such an inspiration to us all. More recently she could be seen with her beautiful smile and sporting her sparkly pink hat that she loved.
Family and friends may call at the Robert Mulcahy Funeral Home; 305 Central Ave, Central City, PA 15926 on Monday April 17, 2017 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel in Central City, PA 15926 on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 2:00pm. Internment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
