Stockdill, David K., 61, Johnstown, died September 4, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 30, 1960 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by father, William C. Survived by spouse Jessica (Tranovich) Stockdill; son, Dustin; brother, Bill; and a number of nieces and nephews. Dave was a remarkable husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father, and friend. He had a snarky sense of humor, which all who knew him, loved. He had a huge heart and understood what giving without condition meant. Whether with his time or his talents, he was truly a generous man. He was a wonderful "Poppy" to his 4 beautiful cats, Snickers, Stella, Mavis & Oscar, and to man's best friend, Jacob. Dave enjoyed spending his weekends at the cottage cooking and grilling. He was an avid archer and rifle hunter who enjoyed the tranquility of nature and shared his love of hunting with others. He loved planting and watching his fruit trees grow. He had multiple blueberry, raspberry and blackberry bushes, strawberry plants and grapevines. He loved making wine and jelly for all his family and friends. He was a committed employee working for United Healthcare for over 35 years. During that employment, he made lifelong friendships that he treasured. He also enjoyed spending time riding motorcycles and watching movies in the backyard. He loved to entertain, hosting game nights and making enough food to feed the entire neighborhood. Dave had a beautiful voice that all were blessed to hear during the many nights that he sang karaoke. Dave loved his wife with all his heart. There wasn't one day they were apart. They meant the world to each other.
"...I'm still me again and the place where I hold you is true. So I know I'm all right 'cause I'd have to be crazy to fall out of love with you."--Willie Nelson
