Cynthia Ann Smith, affectionately known as Cyndi, passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on March 2, 1957. Cyndi was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, and friend who touched the lives of many with her spirit and generous heart.
Cyndi is survived by her loving husband, Ron Smith, who stood by her side through life's many adventures and challenges. She also leaves behind her brother, Harry “Ken” Landis, (wife, Sharon) and her sister, Penny Oravec, (husband, Richard), 7 nieces, 7 nephews, 9 great nieces, 5 great nephews , 1 great great niece and 3 great great nephews who will forever cherish the bond they shared with her.
Cyndi was preceded in death by her parents, Harry "Pete" Landis and Georgia Landis, sister, Georgia Rae Dunton, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
Cyndi was a hard working employee for several companies. She recently retired from Martin-Baker in Johnstown .
Cyndi was a Christian. Her selflessness and kindness were evident in everything she did. She had a special talent for crocheting, creating beautiful sweaters and blankets that warmed not just the bodies but also the hearts of those who received them. She delighted family, friends, and coworkers with her delicious desserts, lovingly prepared and generously shared.
Cyndi's thoughtfulness extended beyond everyday gestures; she had an exceptional knack for personalizing gifts with her poems leaving lasting impressions and heartfelt memories. Her ability to anticipate and meet the needs of others without seeking anything in return was a testament to her character and the love she had for those around her.
As we remember Cyndi, let us celebrate the legacy of love, generosity, and kindness she leaves behind. We will always remember her love of family, friends, and music, her impressive dance skills, and always matching her shoes to every outfit.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Service will be held 10 am Friday at the Central City United Methodist Church, Reverend Robert Katzenstein and Pastor Wes Yoder.
