Celeste J. Meck (Trimeloni), 84, Central City, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 28, 2026. Born July 6, 1941 the daughter of Joseph and Muriel May (Smith) Trimeloni. Preceded in death by parents; grandson Zachary; former husband Robert “Buck” Meck. Survived by children: Wendy (Rick) Ames, Robert “Scott” (Sandy), David, Celeste Jean; grandchildren: Nicole, Gregory, Alex, Alexis, Scotty Jr., Natasha, Grant, Randi; great grandchildren: Liz, Austin, Braxton, Bristol, Devin, Anna, Brady, Luke; sister of John, Robert, David, Muriel Ann. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Celeste retired from teaching after a life long career in the Shade School District. She then worked for Somerset County Area of Aging. She was a past Shade Homecoming Grand Marshal. Celeste was amazingly creative in her tenure as a teacher and loved by her students, all of whom will never forget “7x7=49.”
She had a true love for her community and was a founding member of the Classic Clowns. Her teaching skills followed her to Richland Woods, where she touched many lives and was active with the residents.
Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Central City Methodist Church, Pastor Mardi Vincent. Committal McGregor Cemetery.
