Caroline B. Newman

Newman, Caroline, B., 96, Cairnbrook, died August 7, 2017 at Meadowview. Born December 26, 1920 in New Paris, the daughter of James Blaine and Mary (Raily) Gordon. Preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Caroline was also preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 70 years, James. She now joins him in heaven to once again hold his hand. She is survived by daughters; Alma Jean (Robert) Rummel, Carlisle; Carol (David) Reffner; Barbara (Larry) Firestone, both of Somerset; grandchildren, Jimmy, Gregory, Terry, Debbie, Leslie, Tracy, Tiffany, Tanner, Todd, Tammy, and Cathy; also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was such a special, loving, and caring mother, always encouraging you to look on the brighter side and that everything would look better the next day. She loved all her extended family and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Pastor Daniel Judy. Interment Daly Cemetery.
