Wain, Betty I., 96, Central City, died May 18, 2017, at Meadowview. Born April 25, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Mae Hershberger. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Charles R.; sons-in-law, Glen Blough and John Dill; two brothers and two sisters. Survived by children, Carole Dill, Richland; Brenda (Ted) Meyers, Nevada; Judith Blough, Central City; Bob (Roxann), Stoystown; Cindy (Tony) Adomnik, Central City; Linda (Steve) Sesack, Central City; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-children. Betty was the former owner of the Sunshine Tavern. She was selected as Central City Woman of the Year, was a member of the VFW and Central City Fire Department Auxiliary, was active with the local Senior Center and her church where she served as an officer. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at SS Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, Central City, Rev. Paul Yanke, officiating. Committal P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
