Kushto, Allen P., 75, Hillsboro, died July 14, 2018 at home. Born January 7, 1943, son of the late Don Kushto and Fern (Johns) Kushto Dabbs. Survived by wife of 54 years, the former Janet Berkey; daughter, Zoe (William) McNeal; and grandson, Jude Allen. Brother of, Carol (Herb) Moore, Susan Dabbs (Bob), Daniel (Susan) Dabbs, and Pam Dabbs. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Florence Brick, Olive Baker, Mim Yoder, Marlin (Jean) Berkey, Lois (Sonny) Swanger and Donna (Bob) Koot; uncle Guy "Tuck" Kushto (Ruth), Ashton, PA; aunt Caroline Moore, Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews. Allen was a life-long member of Ridge Church of the Brethren. He held the position of unofficial “Mayor of Hillsboro.” Allen enjoyed mowing his yard and especially enjoyed hunting with his grandson, Jude. Allen's favorite show was The Lone Ranger, this is for you Dad, "A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and hearty hi-o-silver! Away!" Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, Rev. Chuck Statler, officiating.
