Johnston, George A., 72, Central City, died November 4, 2020. Born January 28, 1948, the son of Charles and Helen (Harris) Johnston. Preceded in death by parents; and stepson, David. Survived by wife, Jackie; daughter, Adina (Franklin) Alderson; step-daughters, Michelle Plants and Rebecca (Jeffrey) Kuhns; grandchildren, Christopher, Frankie Rose, Megan, Shaniah, Ryan, Jared, and Kelsie; brothers, Richard (Leah), James (Linda), Jerry (Pat); and a number of nieces and nephews. Retired pipefitter with over 50 years of service and member of Local 798. Member of Central City Fire Department serving as a fire policeman. An avid hunter and fisherman. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Central City United Methodist Church, Pastor Heidi Helsel officiating. Committal, Glade Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may make donations to the Central City Fire Department in George’s memory. Masks and social distancing required. www.mulcahyfuneralhome.com.

George was a GREAT man and a very good friend of the Bissett family. We are honored to have been able to call him a friend.

George was family. He was warm and loving and giving and had his own quirky sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Prayers for the family
