Cook, Erma Carrie (Sines), 89, Rockingham (Cairnbrook), went to be with the Lord peacefully on November 7, 2018.  Born May 19, 1929, she was the eldest daughter of the late Raymond G. and Mary F. (Spiker) Sines.  Married to the late Jesse Lloyd Cook (deceased May 1984).  Preceded in death by parents; husband; sisters, Alberta and Winona; brothers, Herman, Bill and Troy.  Blessed and survived by seven children; Mary Irene (Herman) Swope, MD; Karen (Harry) Harbaugh, Lancaster; Jesse Jr. (Sandy Morell), SC; Janet Sue (Mike) Lockett, Fl.; Tina (Delbert) Yoder, Johnstown; Patsy, NC; Shawn, Central City.  Loved and adored by 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.  A homemaker most of her life, Erma enjoyed taking care of her family and loving her children.  She took in foster children and loved them as her own.  She worked in the sewing factory in Cairnbrook and a local pizza shop.  She enjoyed sewing, making her children most of their clothing, including cheerleading uniforms for her three youngest girls.  She loved quilting and gave a quilt to all of her children and grandchildren hand sewn by her.  Her enjoyment of gardening, canning, baking, bowling, playing Yahtzee, putting puzzles together and reading, especially her Bible kept her busy.  She loved visiting with her children and grandchildren.  She especially loved living in Florida with her daughter Sue for the past six years where she went fishing almost daily hoping to catch that big one!  Erma was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene in Johnstown/Windber.  She loved the Lord with all of her heart, always putting Christ first in raising her family.  She was truly a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend to all.  She leaves a legacy of unconditional love to all that knew her.  We would like to thank all the staff at the Allegheny Lutheran Home in Johnstown for caring for mom these past two years, and treating her like family.  A Celebration of her life and legacy will be held 11 AM November 17 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 425 Luther Rd. in Johnstown.  Family and friends will be received at 10 AM and lunch will follow.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Allegheny Lutheran Home, 807 Goucher St., Johnstown, Pa. 15905.
