YELOVICH –  James Brian, Jr., 50, of Parkesburg, formerly of Stoystown, died unexpectedly on August 26, 2014. Born February 12, 1964 in Pittsburgh, cherished son of the late Patricia Louise (Hammer) Yelovich and James B. Yelovich, Sr., and stepson of Jim Sr.’s second wife, Patricia Pfeilsteicker.  Beloved husband of 17 years of Lisa Marie (Kuzupas) Yelovich, formerly of Cairnbrook, and devoted and adoring father of Melina (14), Nicholas (13), and Alexander (9).  Also survived by sister Ann-Kathryn Maust of Latrobe, her husband Timothy and their son Joshua (12), by sister Jean Yelovich Durbin of Princeton, NJ, her husband Jon and their sons Theodore (13) and Jackson (9), by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins and his 100 year old Pappy, Peter Yelovich of Central City.

Jimmy graduated from North Star High School Class of 1982 in Boswell and from Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA in 1986. He was employed by Quad Graphics in Atglen and formerly by the State of Pennsylvania.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Parkesburg.  Above all, Jimmy was a sportsman, an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He also was a talented, self-taught guitarist who formed and played in several bands during his youth and early adulthood.  Jimmy will best be remembered for his keen sense of humor and quick wit. He had a caring and gentle soul and will be so missed by all who knew him.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Mulcahy Funeral Home, 305 Central Avenue, Central City on Saturday, August 30 from noon to 3pm and from 5-6 pm, with a service at Mulcahy’s immediately following the second visitation. Burial will be private for family at Stoystown IOOF Cemetery on Monday, September 1, and a memorial mass will follow at Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Parkesburg at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy’s name to the Fulton County Sportsmen League, P.O. Box 467, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.

I had the honor of working with Jim when he was a State Parole Agent. He was always ready to help others. His smile made people like him instantly.

He will always have a special place in my memories as one of the best men I knew in the agency. May he rest in peace.
